Calling All Athletes: Compete in the High Intensity Tactical Training Championship


The Marine Corps is looking for its next High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) champion — could that be you? HITT Championship qualifying events will take place on participating installations from May 14 – June 30. The final event will be held at MCB Camp Lejeune September 24-28.

The HITT Championship is an annual event that brings the top male and female athletes from each region to compete to be the best HITT athlete in the Marine Corps. Competitors are challenged on both their mental and physical capabilities.  The events include strength and conditioning activities that mirror the seven foundational movements within the HITT program. All activities support combat readiness increasing physical capabilities.  There are 150 pre-designed HITT workouts on HITT’s Facebook page for any combat conditioning leader and fitness specialist.  Phases of work out include pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment; or you can build your own workout templates. HITT is endorsed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) - Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Department.

How and Where to Apply

To obtain an application, Marines should contact their installation Semper Fit HITT coordinator. Applications must include command endorsement stating the Marine will be available to attend qualifying events as well as the final championship event at MCB Camp Lejeune (if selected).

Who is Eligible?

Marines must:

  • be active duty
  • assigned full duty
  • possess a current, first class physical fitness test and combat fitness test score
